Skincare Face Reviews
Skincare is something I love to buy but I’m not always the best at remembering to use it and I have definitely gone to sleep without taking off my makeup one too many times. I am trying to take care of my skin more and use my skincare products so let me know what your go to products are!
Check out my face skincare posts below:
I honestly can’t believe I have never written a blog post about the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water! It is by far the best micellar water I have ever used and really cleans and clears my face. I love that it doesn’t make my face sting or go red after use, as this is definitely a problem I have had with other micellar water’s. It also doesn’t really smell of anything; which I personally like as I find others have a strange smell which can be very off-putting to apply to your face.
I love using face masks, they always leave my skin feeling clean, cleansed and nourished. I really wanted to try a charcoal face mask to unclog my pores and see if they work better on my skin. I have heard such good things about the Origins Active Charcoal mask to Clear Pores and so I decided to buy it when I was on holiday in Florida.
The first difference I noticed with the charcoal face mask compared to my usual face masks was that the formula was much thicker and wasn’t as runny. This makes it really easy to apply to my face, and you don’t need to use as much product as I typically would with my other face masks.
I have used and loved the T-Zone Clear Out Nose Pore Strips and recently ran out,, when I went to re-purchase them I couldn’t find them anywhere and think they have now been discontinued. Instead I found the T-Zone Charcoal & Bamboo Nose Pore Strips. These sounded amazing as I have trouble with my nose pores and want a product which will really get in all the gaps and clear them out completely.
I love the charcoal and bamboo nose pore strips more than the original clear out ones, they do exactly what I want and leave my nose feeling clear. I have already re-purchased a new box and try to use them at least every other week. They reach into all my pores and completely clean them out, this allows my make up to go on smoother and last longer.
I love using and trying different face masks because they make such a difference to the way my skin feels and my make up always applies much better once I have used a face mask. I generally stick to tube face masks which you apply yourself but recently thought I would give the Boots sheet masks a try and I really like them!
They have lots of different types of masks which all help your skin in different ways. I have tried and love the Safflower and peony, Super Hyaluronic, Lotus Flower and Tiger Lily, and Charcoal and Willow Bark; they also have a Rooibos sheet mask which I haven’t tried before. I really like all of these sheet masks as they are very nourishing and moisturising and leave my skin feeling refreshed and clear.
For ages I was looking for a really good moisturiser which would hydrate and protect my skin, as well as allowing my make up to go on smoothly. About a month ago I found the perfect one – the L’Oreal Paris Triple Active Nourish Intense Hydrating Moisturiser.
What I love most about this moisturiser is the consistency. Usually I go for moisturisers in a squeezy tube, but this one is in a pot; this means that the consistency is much thicker. I think this is better for my skin and protects and moisturises it much more.
I have been trying out and loving the Vasanti Exfoliating Cleanser for the past few months. It removes all the leftover makeup and dirt from my face and exfoliates really well.
What I love most about this exfoliating cleanser is that the exfoliating beads are extremely small compared to other exfoliators I have used. This helps it to really get into my skin and leaves it feeling clean and clear. Once you have used it my skin is left feeling really soft and smooth. It helps my make up to sit better on my face and clean out my pores.
I have been loving using the Clinique Turnaround Daytime Revitalising Moisturiser over the last few weeks and it has replaced my previous moisturiser.
I apply the moisturiser all over my face before applying the rest of my make up. It adds a lovely glow throughout my face and leaves my skin feeling soft and nourished. It gives me reassurance that my face is still being hydrated underneath all my make up. It also helps keep my make up lasting longer and my foundation applies better when I use it.
I absolutely love the Boots essential range skincare! It is suitable for all types which is perfect if I suddenly get oily or dry patches. It has a cucumber scent with is my favourite scent for skincare products and they last a really long time.
One of my favourite products is the blemish stick. When you put it on your skin it feels a little oily and doesn’t leave any colouring on your face. For the stick to actually work I apply a large amount onto my spot by rubbing it on for about a minute of so. I leave it on to soak in, usual I do this at night; and my the morning my spot has dramatically reduced.
I was given the chance to try the Sudocrem Skin Care Cream and its amazing! Sudocrem has never been a brand I have considered using as part of my skin care regime, however I will definitely be using it now!
The great thing about this cream is that its really versatile; it can be used for dry skin, spot prone skin, as moisturiser or even as a face mask. Within a couple of days of using it I noticed that my skin was less dry and looked clearer. I rarely get spots but when I had a couple I put the Sudocrem Skin Care Cream on and over night my spots had already reduced. I also used the cream as a face mask, which at first took some getting used to as it isn’t designed to only be a face mask which means that it doesn’t harden on your skin.
Skincare is SO important and I definitely notice a difference when I don’t use my Simple skincare products. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, clean and smooth. When I go to apply my make up the next day I find it applies better and my make up does appear patchy.
Since using Simple for almost two years now I rarely have any spots and when I do they don’t last long. When I get dry patches I use the moisturiser twice a day and within a week I typically find that the dry patches have gone.
I love using face mask’s as they even out my skin and leaving it feeling soft and clean. I two different types; during the week I use a quick Boots 3-minute clay mask and on the weekends I have more time and so I like to use a more deep cleansing one from Montagne Jeunesse.
The Boots own 3-minute clay mask is perfect for cleansing my face and removes excess oils. I like to use this mask during the week before a shower as it gets all my make up off and the cucumber scent soothes and clears my skin. It is great for when your in a rush or to quickly clear your face in the mornings.
About a month ago I bought some T-Zone nose pore strips; I had never heard of the brand before but they were the only ones in the shop so I thought I would just try them out and if I liked them see if there were other brands in different shops. I wasn’t really sure what to expect I was just hoping for my pores to be cleared out and my nose left feeling smooth and clean.
I was completely impressed with these nose strips, I was surprised by actually how badly clogged up my pores were and it has made me wonder how bad the rest of my skin could be. My nose was left smooth and I actually felt like the pore strip had worked. I wasn’t left with any red patches or a sore feeling on my nose.
