I have so many different lip products I have tried, some I love and some I don’t like as much. I love sharing the different products I have tested to give you an honest review of what I think. I mainly focus on drugstore and inexpensive products as we don’t all have a money tree! I only talk about more expensive products if I really like or dislike them as I wouldn’t want you to spend a lot of money on something which isn’t amazing! I hope you enjoy reading my reviews and please leave me a comment on what you thought of the product I have reviewed or if you have any suggestions of products I should try.

I have been wanting to try out Benefit’s They’re Real! Double The Lip lipstick and I picked up the shade Pink Thrills, which is the lip liner and Beyond Sexy which is the lipstick shade. It is a two-in-one lip liner and lipstick, they have 8 different shades all of which have a lipstick shade and a complementing lip liner. Having a lip liner ‘built in’ with the lipstick saves you the trouble, money and time of having to buy each individually and trying to find a lip liner which matches the lipstick.
I love the LOC lipstick by Millie, especially during the summer and autumn months. I do believe it is exclusive to Birchbox but I’m sure you don’t need to be subscribed to the monthly subscription to buy from Birchbox.
The LOC lipstick is a really pretty pale pink shade. It’s not completely matte as it has a slight shine to it. I think the shade would be perfect for all occasions. What I love most is that it’s in a ‘crayon’ applicator than your typical lipstick stick. I think this makes it better to apply as you can almost use it as a lip liner and then fill your lips in as you normally would with a lipstick.
I have been completely obsessed with the Rimmel London Oh My Gloss lip gloss in the shade Snog. The shade is really natural and adds a glossy shiny look to my lips without looking overpowering.
The gloss itself isn’t sticky or thick so it feels really nice on the lips. It applies evenly and smooth and doesn’t leave your lips looking patchy. You only need to apply a thin layer to get a naturally looking shine. I prefer not to make mine to thick but it’s really easy to build up if you want a shinier look. I find this gloss really helps to define my lip shape and is very nourishing and soft.
I had really dry lips throughout the winter and was looking for a thicker and more nourishing lip balm to help repair my lips. Since rediscovering my love for my Maybelline Pink Punch Baby Lips, I decided to try out the Dr Rescue Baby Lips to try and help.
I have used the Baby Lips Dr Rescue everyday since I got it and it has helped my lips so much! It contains menthol which helps to repair your lips but it isn’t too strong so they don’t sting as some lip balms do. It is clear so only adds a slight shine which I like for everyday. It nourishes my lips and leaves them feeling really soft and smooth. This lip balm also lasts a really long time on my lips and helps keep them nice. I use it throughout the day topping up when I need to or if my lips are feeling a little dry.
A while ago I bought the Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch, I loved using it but for some unknown reason stopped. However, recently I have started using it again and am absolutely loving it! I have also just bought the Dr Rescue one to help my lips during the changing seasons when they get dry.
he Baby Lips are a cross between a lip stick and a lip balm, I think. They are extremely nourishing and leave your lips feeling amazing afterwards. They are soft on and don’t make me feel as if I’m wearing loads of product on my lips – which I love. They are also quite pigmented and leave your lips with a tint of colour; I have the Pink Punch one which leaves a rich pink tint on my lips.
Some would describe my lipstick collection as somewhat lacking, so I’m an attempt to improve it I bought some Max Factor lipsticks. I bought the shades 510 English Rose, a light natural pink shade; and the shade 825 Pink Brandy, an orange toned lipstick.
Knowing that Max Factor is a good brand with high quality products I had high hopes for their lipsticks, and I wasn’t disappointed! The shades are really creamy and nourishing leaving my lips feeling smooth and soft. I really liked this about the lipsticks as in the winter months my lips can get dry very easily.
My current favourite lipstick has to be the Rimmel London Kate Moss 101! It’s a nude pink matte shade and is perfect for both day and night.
The creamy consistency is long lasting and moisturising which helps keep my lips feeling and looking nice all day. It is the perfect nude shade which compliments my pale complexion perfectly. It is extremely pigmented and smells amazing!! It is a matte shade but has a slight shimmer to it which I actually like as it feels more nourishing and hydrating to my lips.
A while ago now I was given a Korres lip butter in the shade wild rose; and until recently I rarely used it. I just put it aside and carried on using my usual lip products. I mostly think this is due to it being in a pot rather than as a stick, because I have long nails it means I can only use pot lip products with a lip brush.
However, I completely fell in love with the Korres lip butter; its nourishing, moisturising and hydrating. My lips feel softer and not as dry which is perfect for the winter season. I have the wild rose colour which I believe is the darkest shade they have out of the six in the collection. Personally as I have a paler complexion I prefer nudes or lighter shades. However, this is lip butter is perfect!
For Christmas my boyfriend got me some Lush products and one thing I asked for was the Lush lip scrub. This was because during the winter and colder months my lips get really sore cracked. No matter how much lip balm I put on nothing is helping them. So I thought I would try the Lush lip scrub because it is made from sugars which helps to scrub away at the cracked and dead skin.
I got the Bubblegum one which smells amazing! It works perfectly on my lips and clears them so quickly leaving them feeling soft. Despite it being a bright pink shade it doesn’t leave a colour which I like because you are then able to put another lip product on afterwards.
I recently went into Boots and picked up a No7 Lipstick in the shade Waterlily. It is a really beautiful pink shiny shade, perfect if you are looking for something subtle and natural looking.
It is from the Moisture Drench range which couldn’t be more fitting! It is super hydrating and nourishing on your lips. Also during the winter my lips get dry and this has really helped to improve that. The formula is creamy which makes it feel nice on your lips. I wouldn’t call it a shimmery shade but more of a shiny shade as it adds a little bit of shine. If you wanted to make it more shimmery you can always add a lipgloss over the top, which I have also done and it still looks good!
