If there was one product I couldn’t live without it would have to be mascara! I have tried so many different types of mascara’s to find one which I like the best. I also have gathered a large collection of eyeliners and love trying out new ones. My eyes review covers mascaras, eyeliners, eye shadows and eyebrow products. Please leave me a comment letting me know what you think and if you have any recommendations of other eye products I should check out!

typically would never dream of spending £40 on make up but when I saw the Tarte Tartelette In Bloom palette I knew I wanted it! It took me ages to actually buy my palette as I didn’t want to buy it in the UK because shipping and customs is very expensive and really not worth it. Instead I bought mine when I was in America during the summer, and I was happy to spend the money because the shades are all so wearable and perfect for everyday that I knew I would get so much use out of it.
I had never used a brow mascara before but wanted to try one because I wanted my eyebrow product to last longer. I decided to try the Maybelline brow drama sculpting brow mascara, this was the first one I had tried and so I wasn’t completely sure what to expect.
I chose the transparent mascara as I didn’t want my brows to look too dark and I was happy with the colour of my eyebrows and didn’t want to change that. The product itself is really good it wasn’t too thick and so my brows didn’t look sticky. It kept my eyebrow colour on all day and they didn’t fade.
I would only recommend a more expensive make up product if I truly felt it was worth the money; and the Clinique High Impact Mascara is definitely worth it! It costs £18.00 and comes in the shades black and dark brown. I first received a sample of the mascara when I bought a different Clinique product, and when Christmas came around I knew I had to ask for the full size. I do know that there are plenty of amazing cheaper alternatives which work just as well but I really do love this mascara and I have had to repurchase it, as I have worn it everyday since December!
Doing my brows have never been a fun task for me, I have very blonde eyebrows and have trouble making sure then don’t look to thick, dark or unnatural. A few months ago I discovered the Rimmel London Brow This Way Brow Sculpting Kit in the shade 002medium brown which has been amazing!
What I love most about this product is the shade because it can start off light or you can build it up and apply more product for a darker look. There are two products in the kit a powder and a wax. The powder is really easy to apply and can be applied to look light or applied thicker for a darker look. The wax is amazing it makes my brows stay on for the whole day and if I don’t use it my brows do start to fade slightly throughout the day.
I have been absolutely loving the POP Beauty eyeshadows recently. I had never heard of this brand until I received a trio of their eyeshadows in my Birchbox a few months ago and I am loving them!
This may seem strange but I really don’t like it when eyeshadows are super pigmented because it can be hard to blend and they can look patchy. These eyeshadows are a perfect pigmentation for me, they can be applied subtly or built up to a stronger look. They are beautiful shades and I especially love the lightest shade which is an amazing highlighter for the inner corners or along the brow bone.
A couple of months ago I needed a new brown eyeliner and after falling In love with the Rimmel Lindon back waterproof Scandaleyes eyeliner I wanted to get the brown one too. Now I don’t know if they don’t make a brown version or maybe they just didn’t have any in stock when I went but I couldn’t find it anywhere. So in desperation I picked up the Rimmel London Exaggerate instead.
At first sight this eyeliner looked really good and since using it, I was right! It winds up which is amazing as you don’t need to sharpen it, which is perfect for me because I have ruined a lot of eyeliners when trying to sharpen them. It also has, what I can only describe as, a little sponge on the other end if you wanted to smudge out your eyeliner.
I want to talk about one of my all time favourite mascara’s the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara!
I have been using it religiously for a few years now and it is just amazing. I love having long, thick lashes and this does that perfectly. It doesn’t clump up my lashes and it’s easy to build up for both day and night looks. The curvy wand allows me to cover all my lashes, even the small ones in the corners! which makes my lashes look longer and fuller. It also means I can cover my lower lashes easier without them looking clumpy or non-existent.
Recently I have been loving the Revolution Iconic 3 eye shadow palette. It includes 12 eye shadows ranging from pinks to browns and purples. It also has both matte and shimmery shades; which makes this the perfect palette.
The range of colours make it suitable for all occasions whether you want a soft pink look or a dark smokey eye; the palette includes shades perfect for any of these looks. I love the light matte brown shade which I like to use for my eye brows. All of the shades can be built up to look darker or you can stick to a subtle look. Regardless this palette is amazing for all looks!
A few months ago I was out and needed a mascara quickly, so I went into Boots and picked up the cheapest mascara with the view that I would throw it away after I had used it. I bought the Natural Collection lash build mascara in black which to my surprise was really good and made my lashes look really thick. Since buying this mascara I actually didn’t throw it away and occasionally use it on top of my Maybelline lash sensation mascara just for extra volume.
