I honestly couldn’t below that I hadn’t done a blog post on my all time favourite concealer – the Collection concealer!
The Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is the best one I have ever tried and I can’t fault it! The best thing about it for me is that the lightest shade is actually light enough for my skin tone! I know it sounds like a strange thing to like about a concealer but I find it so difficult to find a shade light enough and this is perfect.
The concealer is extremely thick in consistency and you really can see it covering spots and under eye circles really well. It blends well into your skin and foundation. On lazy days I like to just wear this concealer without foundation if I just want to cover a few spots or my under eye circles.
I really like the applicator as its small and picks up the product nicely. The tube it is packaged in is nice and small so fits into your make up bag well. The only issue is that it runs out quite quickly and I have gone through so many! It’s very inexpensive which is good if your like me and run out quickly!
Pros and Cons:
- It is very full coverage.
- It is very affordable (£4.19).
- They only have three shades.
- It runs out very quickly!
I can’t recommend this concealer any more its just the best! Let me know what you think of it!
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Some would describe my lipstick collection as somewhat lacking, so I’m an attempt to improve it I bought some Max Factor lipsticks. I bought the shades 510 English Rose, a light natural pink shade; and the shade 825 Pink Brandy, an orange toned lipstick.
Knowing that Max Factor is a good brand with high quality products I had high hopes for their lipsticks, and I wasn’t disappointed! The shades are really creamy and nourishing leaving my lips feeling smooth and soft. I really liked this about the lipsticks as in the winter months my lips can get dry very easily. The colours are pigmented and can be built up to look stronger depending on how you like your lipsticks to look. Personally I prefer a more natural look with a bit of colour which I felt these lipsticks do really well. The lipsticks are easy to apply and last a while evening with little need to re-apply. I didn’t use a lip liner and it still looked really nice on, however I may consider using a lip liner with them as it can create a more defined look.
The packaging is squared which I thought was unusual especially for a drug store lip stick but I actually really like it. The bright gold packaging makes it easier to find in your bag, especially if your bag is as messy as mine! The packaging is also really light and the lid is securely placed on.
They have lots of other colours in the range which I would definitely like to try out. These lipsticks are perfect for all occasions and are a staple in my make up bag!
Pros and Cons:
- They feel nourishing on my lips.
- They have so many different shades.
- They are affordable (£7.99).
- You do have to top it up throughout the night.
Let me know what your favourite lipsticks are and if you have tried out the Max Factor ones!
